Terms of Service

Last updated: April 6, 2026

By using Der Promptus (the Chrome extension, MacOS app, or website), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Der Promptus is

Der Promptus is a prompt management tool that helps you save, organize, and quickly insert prompts into AI chat interfaces. It is available as a free Chrome extension with an optional paid upgrade.

Your account

An account is only required for Pro features (cloud sync, unlimited prompts). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account is for one person.

Your data

You own your prompts, variables, and categories. We don't claim any rights over your content. Free users' data is stored entirely on their device. Pro users' data is synced to our servers solely to provide the cloud sync feature.

You can export your data at any time. If you delete your account, we will delete all your data from our servers.

Payment and refunds

Pro is a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.

Acceptable use

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running smoothly, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. The extension works offline for all local features. Cloud sync requires an internet connection and depends on our servers being available.

Limitation of liability

Der Promptus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from the use of the service. Your local data is your responsibility to back up.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the extension or by email.
